Veneers 101: The Basics
Veneers are incredibly thin shells that are made custom to conceal the front of your teeth and make your teeth look better. They are usually made from porcelain (though resin is another material sometimes used). Porcelain veneers tend to be better at resisting stains than resin veneers. Porcelain veneers also appear more reflective, so they more closely resemble natural teeth. On the other hand, resin veneers don't require the removal of as much of your tooth as porcelain veneers, and resin veneers are thinner as well.
